Summer 2004 It was decided (over a couple of beers) that we would get an allotment. Having a young child had brought to our attention all the additives/chemicals/nasties that can be found on and in foods. Growing our own seemed the best way to eat the right stuff as fresh and natural as possible, how hard can it be…. Jan 2005 we acquired our plot, this was split into two, half for veg the other for hens. The year brought many eggs but little veg. who said growing was easy…! A couple of bags of potatoes, the odd tomato and a sweet pepper! Summer 2006 still plenty of eggs, a few more spuds, tomatoes, sweet peppers, sweetcorn, onions and garlic have been harvested but still the weeds rule….! Let the battle continue………
